Java Full Stack Developer - Cloud Technologies (5-8 yrs) (Bloom Consulting Services)

Global Print Management (GPM) Developer

Avery Dennison is embarking on a global project aimed at reshaping our business processes with nimble, streamlined business processes, supported by new software solutions, driving design capability, project tracking, art work, data management, and fast deployment of production ready items to sites around the world. A key role we are looking to fill is for a hands-on technical person to join the GPM development team to work on multiple applications with major impact on GPM project's success.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

- Full cycle development (design, development, testing, documentation and analysis) for internal software applications (QueueManager, GPM DB UI, GMC Workflows)

- Performs and participates in design and code reviews

- Applies technical knowledge and experience to drive innovative solutions for complex problems

- Use vendor's Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products (GMC Inspire Suite) to develop or maintain workflow for GPM processes.

- Serves as a strong technical resource for developing customized requests.

- Researches, presents and/or makes recommendations on technical issues

- Interacts with development team, internal customers and operations on a daily basis

Position Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related study, or equivalent experience.

- 2+ years relevant technical experience including as a developer having a successful track-record of delivering applications and exposure to the software development lifecycle 

- Must have following technical expertise with demonstrable experience: Java (Spring), Javascript/JQuery(AngularJS)

- Database technologies - SQL Server and similar databases - demonstrable experience with tuning sql queries

- Desirable experience with php (MVC frameworks) and cloud technologies (Google Cloud, Azure, AWS)

- Experience developing within an Agile development environment using build tools (e.g. Maven) and continuous integration tools (e.g. Jenkins).

- Experience with source control systems (e.g. SVN, Git), bug tracking tools (e.g. Jira)

- Must have strong analytical and problem solving skills.

- Experience with implementing Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) products with integration to legacy systems - desirable.

- Experience troubleshooting and providing technical support.

- Demonstrated ability to adapt to new environments and learn new technologies.

- Proficient in English communication.

- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially within the IT community.

- Detail-oriented, self-motivated and able to work under pressure.

- Any experience with label printing software integration (e.g. Loftware or Nice Label) would be advantageous.
