Industry Specific Experience:

- 6 to 8 Years of experience in software development, testing and deployment in Agile Development.

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training:

- Engineering Graduate or Masters in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Major Accountabilities :

- Assist DevOps Architect to architect and setup comprehensive and efficient DevOps practices and in establishing a suitable DevOps channel across the organization.

- Setting up a continuous build environment (Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment) to speed up software development and deployment process.

- Implementation, configuration, customization, sustenance and troubleshooting of DevOps platform.

- Automating processes with the right DevOps tools.

- Development of process and operations.

- Helping developers and operation teams.

- Monitoring, reviewing, and managing technical operations.

Knowledge / Experience / Competencies Required :

- Experience in Microservices development, container management and orchestration using Kubernetes or similar technology.

- Hands -on working experience of DevOps Platform tooling (Chef, Puppet, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub, Jenkins, WSO2 etc.)

- Hands-on working experience of Azure DevOps services (Azure Boards, Azure, Pipelines, Azure Repos, Azure Test Plans, Azure Artifacts, Azure Monitor etc.)

- Strong experience with Windows and Linux-based infrastructures, Linux/Unix administration, and Azure.

- Strong experience with databases such as SQL, MS SQL, MySQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Elasticsearch, Redis, Cassandra, and/or Mongo.

- Knowledge of scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, Python, PHP, Groovy etc.

- Experience with project management and workflow tools such as Azure Boards, Jira, WorkFront, Scrum/Kanban, etc.

- Experience with open-source technologies and cloud services.

- Strong knowledge and experience of DevOps lifecycle.

- Experience in a Development Operations organization leading, administering, building and maintaining an automation environment.

- More than three years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role (or similar role) and experience in software development and infrastructure development.

- Track record of delivering applications and cloud-based infrastructure delivery in an agile environment.

- Experience with automated deployment, continuous integration, and release engineering tools.

- Knowledge of cloud environments and how to implement cloud architectures.

- Knowledge of high availability, disaster recovery, auto-scaling and auto-healing concepts.

- Knowledge in various branching/merging methodologies and release procedures.

- Stellar troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problems.

- Current with industry trends, IT ops and industry best practices, and able to identify the ones we should implement.

- Professional and open communication to all internal and external interfaces.

- Accurately report to management in a timely and effective manner.

- Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and a flexible mindset to handle a quickly changing culture.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- Strong analytical skills.
