Job Scorecard - Developer - Plugins
Mission :
The mission for this role is to develop & maintain the plugins efficiently to improve the quality of the plugins, giving value addition to client's business.
Outcomes :
1. Development Planning: Prepare a development plan to implement the compatibility or new features in order to achieve the deadline of release of plugin. 3 per Quarter
2. Error Free Customizations: Error-free, enhanced & reusable customization for the client's website to provide the best service to the client and increase client satisfaction.
3. Research & POC: Device new Ideas for plugins best suitable for the business at least bi-yearly- 2. Research & PoC to implement the ideas and provide insights/outcome for the required objective.
Job description :
- Develop existing plugins & extension by analyzing and identifying areas for modification
- Update the Plugin or add the New features in if found worthy by lead
- Research new version of plugin or change in the current version of the plugin
- Building reusable code and libraries for future use
- Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability
- Version Controlling of the plugins using GitLab/GitHub/Bitbucket/svn
- Plugin Releases as per the platform standards
- Debug and deploy the solution to the customer site
- Bug Fixes
- Custom Implementation as per client's requirements.
- Continuously discover, learn, evaluate and implement new programs & skills to maximize development efficiency
- Write operational or deliverables documentation
- Research on the various technologies & areas to get the ideas for new plugins
- The quick development of PoC/MVP for new plugins
- Create technical specifications and test plans
- Research, design & write new programs for plugins & extensions
- Creating database schemas as per business requirements
- Setup server configuration as per the requirement of a particular plugin
Technical Competencies :
- Strong understanding of PHP back-end development & OOP
- Strong Knowledge in one of the CMS ( Wordpress or Magento)
- Having Intermediate/Advance Programming Knowledge
- Experience building user interfaces for plugins & extensions
- Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, Bootstrap, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {{such as Git, SVN}}
- Proficient in code debugging & error logging like postman & Chrome inspector, etc.
- Having a Good Knowledge of Linux Environment
- Basic Server skill to Host & Managing the Web Apps.
- Knowledge of any of Relational Database system like MySQL
- Knowledge of how to interact with APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
