This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the colour and font choices, and so on).
Responsibilities :
- Back- end and front- end development, including creating responsive / adaptive WordPress themes and plugins.
- Ensuring high- performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS.
- Conducting website performance tests, and monitoring the performance of the website.
- Interacting with customers / subject matter experts, assessing and communicating about projected timelines for deliverables.
Requirements :

- Have 2+ years of experience designing and developing responsive websites and/or web applications from wireframes and mockups. Having a good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics is a plus.
- Have a decent understanding of front- end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery and understand changes and their ramifications across platforms and browsers.
- Have the ability to customise WordPress Classes / functions / Layouts / Database, and have a strong understanding of PHP back- end development.
- Are comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc. and code versioning tools such as Git
- Have the knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
- Have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems.
- Can work in a fast- paced environment with enthusiastic and inquisitive members.
- Have proficiency in written and oral English communication.
- Are able and interested in being part of a team dedicated to delivering quality work.
- Can constantly learn and unlearn, willing to share/teach, and are not afraid of experiments and change.
