WordPress Developer :
- A full-time long-term project with an exciting venture-funded startup out of the US (Silicon Valley, NYC, Tel Aviv, and India) and a giant media/tech Partner building a new type of solution that has the potential of changing the way we search and consume content online. The project was initially tested successfully in Wall Street and now we are taking it mainstream.
- We are looking for an experienced and passionate WordPress Developer to join our IT team! As a WordPress Developer at our company, you will be responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress plugins and widgets.
- We are expecting you to have a strong understanding of latest industry trends and content management systems.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Create and maintain WordPress plugins and widgets for integration with first and third party services
- Designing and implementing new features and functionality
- Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the WordPress CMS
- Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working widget and plugin.
Requirements and Qualifications :
- Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
- Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
- Comfortable working with debugging tools like Chrome inspector.
- Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
- Ability to work with JavaScript
- Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {{such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial}}
- Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
