This role is a good fit for those with previous agency experience and used to responsibility within production work and who can demonstrate proficiency with the key aspects of Front and Back End Development and WordPress (or another CMS).
Server-side experience is not a requirement but the right candidate will be ready to expand their knowledge. In your first 6 months in this role you will be supported in learning modern WordPress development and basic infrastructure tasks with a specialism in Back End Development.
Key tasks :
- The independent execution of complex builds and production tasks
- Delivery of medium to large scale projects to set deadlines
- Create scalable solutions and undertake API integrations
- Write clean and functional code
- Engaging the team with ideas from the wider industry
- Code deployments to development environments
- MySQL database administration and manipulation
Key Skills :
- Minimum of 3 years relevant agency experience
- Experience with CMS like WordPress
- Ability to create and customise own WordPress Plugins
- Proven experience in PHP, HTML5, CSS3 and animation libraries
- Proficient with - nix systems
- Experience with Git source control
- In-depth knowledge to create and utilise third party JavaScript Libraries
- At ease with troubleshooting, testing and fixing bugs
- Working knowledge of Adobe XD and Illustrator
- Working knowledge of JavaScript
- Deployment to live environments
- Possess an analytical mind and have great attention to detail
Bonus Skills:
- Experience with Timber/Twig or similar frameworks/templating languages
- Able to work with Terminal or other command line technologies
- Experience with GSAP or similar animation libraries
- Experience with Magento 2
