A Senior backend developer is responsible for designing, developing and maintaining all the server side infrastructure, Web Apps, and API's. We are looking to build a transactional platform that will allow users to trade agricultural commodities on the fly. The system must be stable, secure and fast. Backend developers will work closely and report directly to the CTO.
Role & Responsibilities:
1. Participate in the entire application lifecycle, focusing on coding and debugging of our transactional platform
2. Write clean code to facilitate transactions at scale
3. Troubleshoot and debug platform issues
4. Perform UI tests to optimize end-user experience
5. Collaborate with Front-end developers to integrate user-facing elements with server side logic i.e. provide an neat experience to users trading agri-commodities on the fly
6. Gather and address technical & design requirements based on user needs
7. Provide training and support to internal teams & junior developers
8. Build reusable code and libraries for future use
9. Liaise with stakeholders to introduce new features & spearhead upgradation of the platform
Technical Requirements:
1. Proven work experience as a Back-end developer (5+ years)
2. In-depth understanding of the entire web development process (design, development and deployment)
3. Hands on experience with programming languages like Java, Ruby, PHP and Python
4. Familiarity with front-end languages (e.g. HTML, JavaScript and CSS)
5. Passionate about bridging inefficiencies in agri-trade & facilitating increase in farmer income
6. Excellent analytical and time management skills
7. Teamplayer with a problem-solving attitude
8. B.Tech in computer science or related field
9. Experience working with early stage, fast-growing ventures
10. Ability to constantly level up the internal performance standards
