Job Description :
- Develop and implement company project websites from initial concept, site architecture, and user interface to finished deliverable
- Writing HTML, PHP, CSS, Javascript.
- Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin
- Establishing and guiding the website's architecture.
- Developing wire-frame mock-ups to illustrate possible solutions,
- Code and implement WordPress sites from Photoshop layout through HTML/CSS to a custom theme, functions, and plugins.
- Create and update re-usable code libraries to streamline the WordPress development cycle.
- Design and implement new features, enhancements, and content of existing websites.
- Support, extend and/or enhance existing code Managing website tracking and analytics tools and reports.
- Managing our content management system. Ensuring high-performance and availability and managing all technical aspects of the CMS.
- Write clean, well-documented code. Document technical and functional specifications.
- Work on optimizing the SEO and website performance.
- Work with the marketing team and back-end developers to develop pages as may be required by the business.
- Stay on top of key trends and best practices
Who should apply for this role ?
- 5+ Years of extensive knowledge and experience of building WordPress CMS websites using the best practice & de- facto standard plugins
- Experience working with WordPress at a PHP code level
- Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools (such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial)
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful
- APIs and formats (JSON, XML)Use of AJAX / Prototype
- Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug
- Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
- Knowledge of existing inbuilt WordPress functions
- Customizing WordPress to support specific functionality. Creation of custom post types.
- Creation of plugins/widgets written to conform with WordPress coding standards.
- Knowledge of WordPress Network (Multisite) Creation of clean, logical, well-documented, and reusable code.
- A solid understanding of how web applications work including security, session management, and best development practices.
- Adequate knowledge of relational database systems, Object-Oriented Programming, and web application development
- Hands-on experience with network diagnostics, network analytics tools
- Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
- Basic knowledge of the Search Engine Optimization process
- Ability to work and thrive in a fast-paced environment, learn rapidly and master diverse web technologies and techniques.
- Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
- Good communication skills and attention to detail.
