Role :
We are looking for a Lead Engineer Backend who is passionate about building a high-performance web application. A self-driven individual who loves to find innovative solutions and can perform under pressure with an eye for details. As a Lead Backend Developer will be required to see out a project from conception to final product, requiring great organizational skills. You will strike a balance between the consumers- intent and the business's needs.
What you will do in this role :
- Translate requirements and mock-ups into fully functional features by working closely with business and product owners, creative designers and back-end developers.
- Creating servers and databases for functionality.
- Review requirements, design specifications and propose a solution and have a discussion before implementation.
- Work with team leads on the requirements and create estimates against those requirements.
- Work with QA team.
- Designing and developing APIs
Brownie Points :
- Good understanding of DevOps
- Experience in building hybrid Apps.
- Familiarity with JavaScript frameworks such as ReactJS.
What you should have :
- 6 - 9 years of hands-on experience with software development and system administration.
- Proficiency with server-side languages such as NodeJs and Python or PHP.
- Strong Experience on AWS cloud (Lambda, S3, Kinesis, SQS, SNS, ECS, DynamoDB)
- Stronghold on Performance and Security concepts
- Experience in Microservices, Serverless applications, Container-based applications
- Experience with unit testing & Test-Driven Development (TDD).
- Experience working in an agile and continuous development environment.
- Experience in CI/CD
- Good understanding of Apache Kafka or any queue service
- Familiarity with database technology such as MySQL, MongoDB and DynamoDB.
- Familiarity with Logging & Monitoring tools like Kibana, NewRelic, DataDog
- Proficiency with fundamental of front-end languages such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript.
