The Job :
You will be responsible for :
- Designing, developing, implementing, testing, documenting and maintaining high-quality web application software.
- Managing the delivery of projects from conceptualization, visualization to technology mapping and final execution of projects.
- Understanding and implementing project management best practices.
- Designing simple and intuitive user interfaces
- Optimising PHP Code and database queries and functions through Code Review and Project Review Sessions.
- Identifying opportunities for process improvement and making constructive suggestions for change.
- Improving the technical competence of the team through training & development
- Providing accurate effort estimates for deliverables and committing to deadlines through active follow-up of tasks
- Handling technical queries raised by the development team and providing support and guidance to them.
The Profile :
- You have at least a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related fields.
- You have at least 3 years of development experience along with advanced PHP experience, specifically with PHP 5.
- You possess strong database skills as well as proven experience with MySQL 5 and other RDBMS having knowledge of indexes, full-text searches, usage of Regular Expressions in queries and more.
- Strong knowledge of OOPs concepts and OOAD using Design Patterns is required.
- You have excellent knowledge of Applications Architecture and how to work with Frameworks with MVC architecture.
- You have strong knowledge of HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript, jQuery/Sencha etc.
- You have expertise with Code Repository and Version Control Systems like SVN, GIT, CVS, Vault, StarTeam, TFS, VSS or any other.
- Knowledge of any one of the Project Management tools like Basecamp, Redmine, Confluence etc. is mandatory
- You possess excellent problem-solving skills and love technical challenges.
- You ideally have experience creating highly trafficked websites.
- You are able to motivate staff in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- You have strong prioritisation skills and are able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- You hold exceptional communication skills.
