Job Description:
Turing.com is looking to hire a front-end developer on behalf of a US-based digital-first agency focused on higher education marketing and communications. The developer will be responsible for delivering modern, engaging, and highly usable websites and digital experiences for clients. The company is moving towards headless and decoupled architectures while employing modern techniques. Since their inception, they have worked with over 300 colleges, universities, and other professional schools in the U.S and abroad. Good communication is an important skill in this role. The developer will collaborate with a team of client-service-oriented and user-centric experts in solving technical problems.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create fully responsive, meticulous HTML5/CSS3 templates using JavaScript/ES6/React that meet cross-browser requirements
- Ensure HTML deliverables meet technical quality standards and accessibility standards
- Produce clean, performant, forward-thinking, responsive, and scalable front-end
- Integrate SEO best practices throughout the work product
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- Proficient in programming with PHP and JavaScript/ES6/ECMAScript
- Proficient in HTML5 and CSS3/SASS
- Experience in templating agents such as Nunjucks
- Experience with NPM, Webpack, and React/Preact
- Deep understanding of large systems, complex code bases, and version control systems such as Git
- Good problem-solving skills with an ability to meet deadlines
- Organized and able to manage and track time effectively
- Ability to collaborate and work effectively in a remote, distributed environment
