Required :
- Expertise in PostgreSQL / equivalent RDBMS
- Good understanding of MongoDB
- Writing Stored Procedures and building complex queries
- Creating an efficient database architecture with a good balance of normalized/denormalized information storage
- Python scripting Experience
Good to have :
- Awareness about Cloud databases such as DynamoDB and Redshift
- Exposure to Graph Databases, Time Series Databases & similar use-case specific information storage mechanisms
- Using BI tools such as Metabase & Power BI
- Understanding of data validation mechanisms
- Worked in a setup that had a web development team, preferably focused on data analytics, that heavily utilized the databases
- Code versioning of Stored Procedures (Git or similar)
- Used Airflow to enable automation
Experience & Qualification :
- 5-8 years in hands-on management of databases
- Excellent communication skills
Role :
- Domain Focus - E-commerce Analytics
- Managing ETL processes including writing scripts for transformation
- Building queries to retrieve information from MongoDB and PostgreSQL
- Writing Stored Procedures in PostgreSQL
- Assisting the development teams with efficient queries and Stored Procedures
- Guiding team members on best practices for information storage
- Providing necessary reports (Excel, CSV or another DB) to the Data Analytics team for further analysis
- Working with the DevOps / SysAdmin teams for management of databases, replication/high availability setup and backups
- Bring in optimization in terms of data handling and management
