Responsibilities :
- Meeting with stakeholders to discuss website design and function.
- Designing and building the website front-end with core html/css coding.
- Creating the website architecture.
- Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration.
- Generating WordPress themes and plugins.
- Conducting website performance tests.
- Troubleshooting content issues.
- Monitoring the performance of the live website.
- Updating and maintaining existing WordPress websites, including content updates, visual enhancements, landing page creation, plugins and widgets.
- Using graphics effectively to adhere to style and brand identity.
- Testing and troubleshooting pages on multiple browsers and devices.
- Project reporting and effective communication of status and tasks related to their initiatives.
- Working with development team members to integrate WordPress applications into the larger digital ecosystem.
Must Haves :
- Excellent expertise (4+ years) with strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, Javascript, PHP.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
- Proven work experience as a WordPress Developer.
- Knowledge of front-end technologies including CSS3, JavaScript, HTML5, and jQuery.
- Knowledge of code versioning tools including Git
- Experience working with debugging tools such as Chrome Inspector and Firebug.
- Good understanding of website architecture and aesthetics.
- Ability to create fully responsive, custom WordPress themes from scratch.
- Strong understanding of and experience with a variety of plug-ins that enable additional capabilities.
- Development expertise with custom post types, advanced custom fields, plug-ins, theme development, widgets, and WordPress database structure knowledge.
- Ability to troubleshoot problems with or add features to pre-existing and or pre-made themes.
- Understanding of the latest web standards and trends.
- Good eye for design to create something appropriate to the target audience.
- Good attention to detail, effective listener and communicator with a passion for technology and learning.
