Product Architect / Head of Engineering is expected to be a go-getter with deep conceptual understanding of software systems and engineering along with the proven ability to create enterprise scalable systems for B2C and B2B context. Full stack development experience with hands on experience with Database systems & technologies, Service Oriented Architecture & front- end development including Web technologies & scripting languages such as Python is a must.
Prior SaaS B2B or B2C product development is a must. Knowledge of Product Development Life-Cycle, SCRUM & Agile methodologies
Prior experience in CRM, Analytics and/or Enterprise Products is an added advantage
Core Skills :
- Thorough understanding of various architectural & design patterns including MVC, SOA, MV-VM
- Versatile experience across the product stack including backend database technologies (Relational and/or NoSQL Databases), RESTful architecture & scripting languages & front-end development
- Hands on experience with Web Technologies and at least one front-end JS framework such as React, Angular or Vue is required. Working knowledge of CSS, HTML 5 & Web 2.0 standards & experience building applications for mobile devices for Android & iOS
- Experience with using components from the open source eco-system & frameworks for enterprise architecture & systems
- Experience working with cloud infrastructure & PaaS such as AWS is a big plus
- Ability to work with Design teams to create rapid proto-types in an agile development environment
- Participate in architecture and design reviews for projects that require complex technical solutions.
Core Responsibilities :
- Define the strategic vision of the enterprise through the integration of IT architecture solutions, complex design patterns, technical strategy and blueprints which forms the basis for application architecture across the enterprise.
- Responsible for the architecture design & development of one or more product components
- Identify appropriate technology & product feature fitting business requirements & build highly scalable enterprise class features. Ability to make appropriate technology choices weighing the technical pros and cons
- Display a high degree of ability to understand a new business domain, product requirements & the technology underpinnings
- Understand key business metrics of the SaaS Products and implement & track those in the product working closely with Product Strategy
- Work across product teams to drive product direction and technical strategy to meet market requirements
- Display great ability in collaborating with Business Strategy, Product Strategy and own team to come up with solutions for business cases
- Customer involvement activities for key product features including demos
- Provide thought leadership and mentorship to a team of developers, designers, and testers, and drive product direction to meet market requirements. Assist technical team with issues needing technical expertise or complex systems knowledge
- Drive innovation activities for the product development team by continuously coming up with improvements for features
Eligibility Requirements :
- Full Time Bachelors degree, Masters degree
- 12-16 years of Software Architecture, Design and Development experience using java/J2EE/PHP/NodeJS/Web/Service Oriented technologies
