About the Opening :
- At PlayShifu, the small development team builds the core of the overall experience. Right from the foundation of Augmented Reality, to strong data-driven app content customization APIs, they are the creators of magic!
- The focus of the development team is on the mobile stack, web experiences and supporting APIs. The team works closely with the design team and users. We have iOS and Android apps and there is an opportunity to build great things on both platforms.
Current Stack :
- AWS, lots of it - beanstalk, EC2, S3, Lambda, API gateway, RDS, CloudFront
- React and Reach Native
- NodeJS
- Wordpress (PHP)
- Basics of front-end (HTML, JS)
- Tableau (analytics)
Requirements :
- This role needs a strong sense of visual appeal and great skills with CSS and JS. React experience is a strong plus.
- Bear in mind that it's a startup so the work can be in a grey area, at times not necessarily back-end and not pure front-end either. Depending on the situation, you should be prepared to write whatever system (either well-designed or ad-hoc) to get the current job done.
- Not all systems need to be online and deployed you should be able to discern between what's required to be online vs what's a throwaway, one-time-required job.
Our games are played by more than 250k users all over the world. Some of the possible work you'll do :
- APIs for the games - scoring APIs, data analytics APIs, security, auth, in-app purchases, etc.
- AI-driven game data engine - changing features and game levels based on the gameplay data
- Creating web portal for parents and teachers to see kids progress (lots of metrics visualizations)
- Creating a fresh new brand look for the overall web
