Requirements for the role:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Sciences, Technology or equivalent years of experience.
- Understanding of e-commerce concepts (shop, checkout, marketplace).
- Strong understanding of e-commerce workflows ( Order Management, Returns, Payment gateway, Invoicing and Billing)
- Strong understanding of catalog management.
- Understanding of retail e-commerce landscape, including - best practice- platforms, practices, features, and functionality.
- Understanding of web technology fundamentals.
- Knowledge of any e-commerce platforms is a plus - (Magneto, Shopify, Salesforce, ATG).
- Knowledge of interfacing and integrating e-commerce systems with ERP systems.
- Competent in web services integrations (REST/SOAP) with other system integrations.
- Demonstrable knowledge of API integration.
- Knowledge of technologies like CDN, load balancing, hosting, web server configurations, DNS, etc.
- Ability to support/troubleshoot in an organized manner and execute methodically.
- Ability to work individually and within a team.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong documentation skills.
Experience and Technologies Requirements:
- A minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience
- 5-7 years- experience in e-commerce software development
- 4 -5 years data-interchange experiences formats such as JSON/XML and RESTful APIs
- 2-3 years of experience on catalog design.
- 4-5 years of experience of experience on Java or php
- Solid understanding of CS fundamentals, including algorithms, data structures, and design patterns
- Good understanding of web-related technologies (e.g. HTTP, REST, TCP/IP, Message Queuing, FTP)
- Experience programming back-end web services in an OO language (Java preferred)
- Knowledge of data-modeling, RDBMS/NoSQL development experience
- Familiarity with common project tools - JIRA, Confluence
- Experience working in Agile scrum team environment
