The incumbent will be responsible for handling all work related to databases, servers, systems engineering, and cloud infrastructure.
Depending on the project, the need may be a mobile stack, a Web stack, or a native application stack. In fact, - back end- refers to the collection of a series of technologies needed to complete a project, meaning, Back End Development Languages, Database, Server, API, Cloud components, Version Controlling Systems, support to Front End development team etc.
In addition to mastering backend technologies like JAVA, JS, etc he/she is also expected to :
- Program a server (Using PHP, ASP, Python, Java or Node)
- Use resources on the Cloud (AWS, Azure or GCP)
- Working with Front teams working on React, Angular, etc
- Well versed with version control systems like Bitbucket, Github, etc
- Collaborate well and support the cloud dev-ops teams
- Act as independent database expert/designer wherever required or support the DBA on Mysql, MongoDb, etc
Apart from the above, the incumbent is expected have all other skills required to build an application from scratch and then run it successfully in production environment. Our preferred technology stack is VueJs or ReactJs for Front End ; Java or NodeJs or Golang for the Backend ; AWS or Azure for Cloud.
An experienced software developer who is equally comfortable in multiple technologies on backend (server-side) development and Relational/non-relational (Database) designs; Carries a fair understanding of Front-end technologies (like ReactJs, etc but may not be hands on) and is well familiar with each layer of tech stacks that go into the making of an enterprise grade software product will be a good fit for the role.
