We- re growing, and we need an enthusiastic, experienced Web Designer and WordPress developer-designer to join our team. You- ll be responsible for both front-end and back-end development, including creating new design and WordPress themes and plugins.
- You;ll need a combination of programming skills (HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript) and strong aesthetic abilities (understanding colour, font and element arrangements on screen). We- d also like you to be growth focused, with a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems.
- Ideally, weare also looking for experience with responsive and adaptive design, as well as an understanding of the entire web development process, from design and development to fast, effective deployment.
A BIT ABOUT YOU.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Establishing and guiding the website's architecture
- Ensuring high-performance and availability, and managing all technical aspects of the CMS
- Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
- Build, test, scale, support and refine the website as a key marketing channel
- Solving WordPress errors and bugs
- Implementing and contributing to a design system
- Design sitemap and wireframes using the design kit and implement
- Designing and implementing new features and functionality
- Contribute research and analysis of user behaviour across the website
- Contribute to website performance insights such as what is/isn- t working in order to build recommendations
- Working closely with the marketing team on weekly website development
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery & React
- Experience building user interfaces for websites and/or web applications
- Experience designing and developing responsive design websites
- Experience of UI/UX
- Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
- Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers
- Ability to convert comprehensive layout and wireframes into working HTML pages
- Knowledge of how to interact with RESTful APIs and formats (JSON, XML)
- Strong understanding of PHP back-end development
- An understanding of content marketing/inbound marketing
- An understanding of an SEO focussed website
- Passionate about conversion strategy

We- re working remotely at the moment, but we- ll be based in a lively, modern office in Delhi. We- d love you to join us there, but we- re also open to remote working.
