Role Title : Senior Engineer / Staff Engineer (Ecommerce, web)

Location : Bangalore
Mission (Why does this role exist?) and Scope (About the Job)
Enphase is building a globally distributed ecommerce platform built on the Magento 2 platform. This is part of the digital transformation program to transform the customer experience. The objective is to provide a world class platform and outstanding customer experience to Enphase customers, across the globe. This is envisaged to be fully integrated into the digital transformation and experience journey of both home owners and installers, and also distributers of Enphase. The engineer will be involved in developing various features of the Enphase store and also integrating with various other platforms to build seamless customer experience..
Key Responsibilities and Outcomes (What the Person needs to accomplish in the role ?)
The engineer will be responsible to design, develop and maintain the ecommerce portal. This role will involve driving the development and delivery of various features, based on inputs from the program and marketing team. This role will also involve investigating various requirements from business teams, based on the geo-expansion requirements. The Enphase store is developed on magento platform and is heavily customized to suit Enphase customer requirements. The candidate will also be involved in developing the cloud infrastructure design and sizing based on the expansion requirements, and also in defining and implementing the upgrade strategy.
Qualifications : Education, Competencies (Knowledge, Skills & Behaviour) and Experience
Qualifications :
- BE /BTech in Computer Science or related discipline from Top Tier Engineering College.
Skillset :
- 6+ years in designing and developing complex software projects
- Hands on development experience on ecommerce platforms (Magento 2 mandatory)
- Strong understanding of the Magento architecture
- Strong programming skills in PHP. Knowledge in Python will be a plus
- Strong web development skills in HTML, CSS, Themes
- Experience in designing globally distributed stores
- Strong expertise in developing plugins/extensions for magento platforms
- Good understanding of AWS services - EC2, Backup, Load balancing, Route53, DNS etc
- Knowledge in Python or Ruby, Linux shell scripts will be a bonus
- Strong documentation, communication and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work across various teams.
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate cross-functional work teams
- Excellent problem-solving skills with sense of urgency and ownership.
