Job description for Software Engineer :
Responsibilities :
- Developing & designing of software for solving business problem.
- Determines operational feasibility by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
- Investigates problem areas.
- Follows the Agile development lifecycle.
- Develops clean code following Test driven development / Behaviour Driven Development
- Demonstrates solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clean code.
- Test system integrity, implemented designs, application developments and other processes related to infrastructure, making improvements as needed.
- Specifying, documenting and developing new product features,
Requirements : Bachelor's Degree or Master's in Computer Science, Engineering, Software Engineering or a relevant field.
- 2-9 years of experience in a Software Engineer role; experience in DevOps or CI/CD pipeline and infrastructure development is a plus.
- Front end technologies: React JS, jQuery, CSS3, javascript or python / Django framework
And/Or
- Backend technologies : Java or Python, spring framework, ORM tool, multi-threading, Workflow technologies like BPMN / JBPM
- Experience with relational SQL and NoSQL databases, including Postgres, MySQL, AWS RDS.
- VERY IMP - experience with AWS
- Stellar troubleshooting skills with the ability to spot issues before they become problems
- Hands on experience with next generation distributed cloud technologies
- Must have knowledge of AWS API gateway, microservice architecture, serverless architecture, RESTful services
- Problem solving skills, strong analytical skills, strong hands on experience, delivery track record of medium/large complexity of projects, TDD/BDD, awareness of CI/CD pipeline
- Experience with workflow tools such as Agile, Jira, Scrum/Kanban etc.
Nice to have : Knowledge of scripting languages such as Java, JavaScript, Perl, Ruby, Python, PHP, Groovy, Bash.
