Job Description :
- We are seeking a WordPress Developer responsible for both back-end and front-end development, including creating WordPress themes and plugins. This position requires a combination of programming skills (namely PHP, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript) and aesthetics (understanding element arrangements on the screen, the colour and font choices, and so on).
- The candidate should have a strong understanding of industry trends and content management systems. Experience with responsive and adaptive design is mandatory.
- Also, an understanding of the entire web development process, including design, development, and deployment is preferred.
Responsibilities :
- Building beautiful websites using front-end technologies
- Develop and implement new WordPress themes, plugins, features & functionality.
- Help to formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
- Designing and managing the website back-end including database and server integration
- Using semantic HTML5 and CSS pre-processors for digital platforms including marketing sites, web applications, e-commerce sites and digital products.
- Helping formulate an effective, responsive design and turning it into a working theme and plugin.
- Working knowledge of SVG and Canvas elements.
- Working knowledge of web animation using CSS, SVGs or JS
- Managing all technical aspects of the CMS
- Monitoring the performance of the live website, conducting web portal performance tests, and fixing all the discovered issues.
Mandatory Skills and Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a similar field.
- At least 3 years of proven work experience as a WordPress Developer and in developing responsive design websites.
- Expertise in working and writing code with PHP, MySQL, JavaScript & WordPress CMS.
- Understanding of object-oriented PHP programming and experience creating a scalable web-based portal.
- Good understanding of backend code optimization techniques, server, and browser cache management.
- Good understanding of front-end technologies, including HTML5, CSS3 & jQuery
- Ability to understand CSS changes and their ramifications to ensure consistent style across platforms and browsers.
- Practical Knowledge of Technical SEO - especially generation & submissions of Sitemaps, Robots.txt, Redirection of URLs, Fix 404 or similar errors, Integrate Google Tag Manager/Analytics, Setup of Google Search Console.
- Basic Knowledge of Code Versioning Tools like GitHub
Other Preferred Skills :
- Familiarity with Adobe XD (Design tool). Ability to create PSD mockups for client approvals.
- Experience with a modern front-end framework like React, Ember or Angular
- Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
- Practical knowledge of DevOps tasks like DNS Management, CDN, Code Versioning using GitHub, Installation of SSL Certificate, and Deployment of the Website on Production Server (Go Live of Website on client domain)
- Knowledge of Web Hosting Servers especially Amazon Web server (AWS).
