Required Competencies:
- PHP web development experience and an experience of real-world e-commerce experience with Magento 2.x development.
- MySQL, optimization, indexes and performance techniques.
- Should have a great understanding with MySQL, MongoDB, and NoSql based database concepts.
- Should have good knowledge of Elasticsearch and Redis.
- Experience working with JS frameworks (React / Vue).
- Great knowledge about PHP 7, PSR standards.
- Thorough experience in customizing Magento's 2.x front-end components using layout XML, blocks, and templates.
- Understanding of caching mechanisms such as Memcache/Redis/ElastiCache.
- Competent knowledge of e-commerce data organization, relationships and store catalog (categories/products/attributes).
- Candidate should have strong Code review ethics & can be responsible for the peer's code Review.
- Competent in web services integrations (REST/SOAP/GraphQL).
- Candidate should be well versed with OOPs & MVC concepts.
- Understand the importance of performance in web development and resolving PHP performance issues.
- Excellent coding standards, following industry best-practices.
- Experience in integrating open source and third-party applications into existing systems.
- Proven ability to write clean-structured and well-documented code (Samples will be requested).
- Ability to document processes and solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for front and Back-end development of the website.
- Working on developing a micro-service architecture to run Magento.
- Good understanding of Magento's 2.x code structure, extension architecture, theming hierarchy, and fallback components.
- Create scalable functionality and extensions/modules on the Magento2.x platform.
- Build well-designed software in a way that is generic, reusable, and easily extensible, as well as solves the business needs and requirements.
- Build e-commerce applications, maintaining existing PHP code, optimizing MySQL queries, developing custom PHP solutions, and actively assist in improving the usability, usefulness, and functionality of highly customized consumer and business-to-business Magento Community and Systems.
- Design solutions and integrate with third-party systems including payment processing, shipping, affiliate marketing, email marketing, currency exchange, and product feeds.
- Firm grasp of Git-based source control.
- Proficient with PHP object-oriented programming & MVC applications.
- Good understanding of web services integrations (REST/SOAP).
- Knowledge of the use of caching layers such as Memcached and Redis.
- Responsible for the production-level code.
