mPokket is an mobile app based lending platform showing tremendous growth. We are building a small but capable team of sharp engineers (based out of Whitefield, Bengaluru) and would like you to be a part of our journey!
You would have already worked on multiple platforms and products as this position requires you to demonstrate both hands-on expertise and thought leadership in back-end application development. Our current app stack is PHP based, but we're going to revisit it - this is your chance to build an application that will scale to serve the nation!
Compensation and title will be based on your current title and demonstrated performance during the interview process:
Role : Tech Lead / Sr. Tech Lead / SDE-I / II
We need you to have a minimum of 6 years of experience with the following :
Leadership :
- Managing & mentoring a team of 5+ people
- Ability to deliver projects/sprints on time
- Obsessed with quality: Design reviews, code reviews, testing (system/performance)
- Spending at least 50% time with hands-on coding while doing the above
Programming :
- Hands on experience with design and implementation of WebApps and APIs using a PHP based framework (such as Laravel, Code Igniter, Cake or similar)
- In addition to PHP, hands-on with a Python or node.js based framework
- Good understanding of SQL (mySQL, postgres or similar. including clustering)
- Good understanding of one no-SQL
- Comfortable producing and refactoring code without assistance
- Understands different major language paradigms (object oriented / functional /reactive)
- Can reason about complexity of algorithms (time and space)
- Basic CI/CD and DevOps
- Design, QA and Infrastructure
- Knowledge of design patterns and cloud scaling
- AWS experience, but we are fine with any Cloud stack provider such as Azure, GCP, Digital Ocean or even Open Stack
- Comfortable with agile practices, user stories and task breakdown
- Understands BDD/TDD/Performance/Security/Smoke testing
- Understands REST principles and Microservices
- Understands version control & branching strategies
- Understands application security fundamentals and potential security risks
- Can script (shell, curl, gattling etc) and automate within relevant environments
