Project manage development of analytics products for financial services. Will lead a team of 3-6 people and work with analytical tools and programming languages
Duties and responsibilities :
- Design and implement client-side application solutions for target domain
- Participate in the full life-cycle development process from product definition, through design, development, test, release and maintenance
- Develop features across multiple subsystems within our applications, including collaboration in requirements definition, prototyping, design, coding, testing and deployment
- Understand how our applications operate, are structured, and how customers use them
- Participate with the engineering and operations teams to define plans for standardizing, scaling and enhancing our products and the services utilized to deploy/install/release those products
- Participate in interactions with customers as a technical expert for product subsystems
- Investigate, analyze and make recommendations to management regarding technology improvements, upgrades and modifications
- Adhering to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget
- Design and develop project proposals, including budgets and critical paths
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline from Tier 1 colleges
Skills :
- 4-8 years of experience in the software development
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Knowledge of project management methodologies and tools
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong people management skills
- Excellent problem solving, decision-making, and analytical skills
- Strong implementation skills; highly organized, self-directed and takes initiative
- Adhering to high-quality development principles while delivering solutions on-time and on-budget
- Project Management Professional (PMP) / PRINCE II certification is a plus
- Knowledge of SQL, relational databases and other data storage solutions
- Operational fluency in Python, C#, PHP
- Knowledge of Angular JS will be an added advantage
- Cloud services like AWS and Azure will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge on Django and Python will be an added advantage
