Exciting opportunity for an experienced Oracle Database Developer to be involved in the creation of a new Data Lake leveraging Oracle - GoldenGate- .
- The individual should be well versed in data replication best practices, have proven experience with Oracle Golden Gate, database administration and engineering practices and principles.
- The individual will work closely with lead Engineers on database build, deployment and support.
- He or she will provide technical influence and subject matter expertise for the database team.
- The individual will be responsible for delivering database projects, maintaining the running systems, able to perform problem analysis and troubleshooting.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Experience working in large enterprise environments
- Extensive knowledge in technologies such as:
1. Oracle Servers & Databases up to 12.2
2. Oracle PL/SQL
3. Oracle GoldenGate replication
- Design replication solutions using GoldenGate products and environments
- Prepare the source and target database
- Issue GoldenGate Software Command Interface (GGSCI) commands
- Configure, start, stop, and monitor Change Capture, Change Delivery, and Initial Load
- Manage Extract trails and files using Data Pump and utilities such as logdump
- Control network transmission using compression and encryption
1. Oracle Performance Tuning
2. Oracle Back-up Strategy and Monitoring Systems
3. Oracle Data Integrator (ODI)
4. Programming and Scripting skills: Bash Shell, TCL Expect, Python, PHP, Perl, or Node.js is a plus
- Experience and understanding of product lifecycle management
- Ability to automate common and repeatable tasks/processes
- Experience interacting and using APIs
- Ability to work independently under the guidance of Lead Engineers and to resolve complex issues
- Troubleshoot performance related issues
- Proactive and reactive performance analysis, monitoring, troubleshooting and resolution of escalated issues
- Engage with product owner, technology lead, report developers, product analysts, and business partners to understand capability requirements and develop data solutions based on best practices.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
- BE/BTech, MBA, BCA, MCA (Graduate/Postgraduate) with 8 to 10 years of experience as Oracle DBA
- Minimum 5 years of experience on Oracle Golden Gate.
- Preferably from a services organization background with prior experience in Onsite-Offshore model.
