Job Description/Capsule :
- Tools Operations Senior Engineer is responsible for carrying out day to day Operational tasks of Tanium or any equivalent.
- Experience on more than one tool (desired) and relevant experience of 7+ years. Candidate should be able to work in 24x5 environment from office and with on call coverage during weekends (rotation basis).
Typical Accountabilities :
- Handling Incident, Problem, Change, Service Requests.
- Execute simple Standard Operating Procedures as directed to maintain operational stability.
- Provide service improvements.
Tanium Accountabilities :
- Design and implementation of Tanium endpoint software to a large enterprise environment.
- Broad knowledge across several technical domains, coupled with deep knowledge in one or more of the following:
- Endpoint Security
- Endpoint Support/Troubleshooting - Derive questions for polling endpoints
- Incident response
- Systems Management
- Systems Administration
- Utility Scripting (e.g. bash, PowerShell, VBScript, Python, Java Script.)
- Experience working with major operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux) and VMware ESX and/or other virtualization solutions
- Create scripts as needed to ensure policy compliance with software and patch levels.
- Analyse reports and make recommendations for remediation. Conduct detailed analysis of software and patch status.
- Participate in the preparation of materials and oral presentations for management.
- 3+ years- experience with programming languages such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, VBScript and support custom integrations.
- Experience in endpoint security, management, patching, intrusion detection, and incident response
- Strong knowledge in Windows and nix- platforms
- Experience integrating API-based and REST API for its IOC Detect service and a SOAP API for integrating the Server platform with a CMDB, SIEM, or in-house tool
- Advanced experience in deployment, configuration, maintenance of Tanium or any End Point Management tool.
- Hands-on Tanium experience a major plus which includes modules such as Discover, Patch & deploy, Performance, Comply, Threat Response & Protect
Education, Qualifications and Experience :
Essential :
- Bachelor's degree.
- 6+ years of experience in preferably Tanium, SCCM or any equivalent tool
Desirable :
- Bachelor's degree.
- Knowledge on Python/PHP.
- 6 years- experience in any end point management tool on server-side deliverable, security modules, vulnerability management, patching
- Proposing, implementing automation features in a large enterprise environment
