Job Description :
- We are looking for a senior mobile android app developer, development and maintenance of Android apps. The developer will lead the entire app life-cycle right from concept stage until delivery and post-launch support.
- Apps will be mainly content based and integrated closely with the web sites. In addition to delivering the product the successful candidate will be heavily involved in driving the mobile strategy globally.
Technical Set :
- Strong OO design and programming skills in Java (J2EE/ J2ME)
- Familiar with the Android SDK
- Knowledge of SQLite, MySQL or similar database management system
- Familiar with Eclipse.
Android Developer Job Duties :
- Knowledge of Android Java programming is necessary.
- Knowledge of REST/JSON and UI principles are preferred.
- Additional knowledge of web technologies is preferred but not required.
- General knowledge about mobile development and systems architecture should be apparent.
- Code must pass basic requirements for running on devices like tablets and smartphones.
- Deliver across the entire app life cycle - concept, design, build, deploy, test, release to app stores and support.
- Working directly with product and marketing team to conceptualize, build, test and realise products.
- Gather requirements around functionality and translate those requirements into elegant functional solutions.
- Build prototypes at tech scoping stage of projects working along the web developers to create and maintain a robust framework to support the apps.
- Working with the frontend developers to build the interface with focus on usability features.
- Create compelling device specific user interfaces and experiences.
- Standardizing the platform and in some cases apps to deliver across multiple brands with minimal duplication of effort.
- Optimizing performance for the apps.
- Keep up to date on the latest industry trends in mobile technologies.
- Explain technologies and solutions to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Good to have knowledge of IOS app development.
Android Developer Skills and Qualifications :
- Strong OO design and programming skills in Java (J2EE/ J2ME)
- Familiar with the Android SDK.
- Knowledge of SQLite, MySQL or similar database management system.
- Familiar with Eclipse
- Good Hands-on Database - Mysql, Oracle, SAP, SQL.
- LAMP development experience.
- PHP frameworks (e.g. Zend).
- PHP template engines (e.g. Smarty).
- Creative design skills.
- Working with a content management system.
Prerequisite /Key Skills :
- B Tech Engineering CSE/IT/BSC/MSC/MCA/BCA
- 3 -5 years of experience and proficiency in handling IT technicalities
- Excellent written and oral English
- Good ability to give clear and consistent instructions to team members.
- Good knowledge of current hardware and software technologies and uses.
- Good problem solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work under time-bound schedule and willingness to work overtime to complete the work
