Job Role :
The purpose of this job is to participate in 24X7 AES (Windows/IIS Sys Admin & Infrastructure Support)) oncall support on a rotation basis supporting various .NET, PHP, etc. based applications. The job also demands strictly adhering to the incident and change management processes while working on various issues reported via an incident management tool like CA Service Desk and change requests. In addition, the individual will also need to perform analysis; design, scripting, testing, application deployments and document technical requirements for new or enhanced functionality of medium to high complexity application infrastructure components.
Skills Required:
Must have skills :
- Minimum 3 years- experience in Windows IIS support and .NET, PHP based applications
- Should have good understanding of 3 tier application architecture
- Good work experience on any incident management, problem management, change management tool like CA Service Desk
- Knowledge and experience on administering Windows Servers: 2012, 2016, 2019 etc.
- Awareness of network topologies, specifically around Firewalls, Load-balancers, SSL offloading, VLANs / routing, NAS / SAN technologies
- Thorough understanding and experience on administering IIS (various versions)
- Should be actively supporting the deployment of .NET based Web applications on IIS servers and should have worked on IIS metabase changes using scripting methods.
- Good experience in Load Balancing technology primarily F5/Big-IP with knowledge on algorithms and health check options, SSL termination, iRule programming/ troubleshooting, etc.
- Should have implementation knowledge on various reverse proxy techniques such as Apache Reverse Proxy, Microsoft Proxy, F5 Big-IP Reverse Proxy (Rewrite profile), etc.
- Procurement/conversion/renewal/application of SSL certificates
- Excellent troubleshooting skills in analyzing server and application logs, etc.
- Flexible enough to stretch beyond normal office hours as and when required depending on the criticality of the issue, etc. or to meet any project deadlines.
Good to have skills :
- Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, Firewall, SSH, SFTP, etc.
- Using SharePoint, Wiki, Microsoft teams, TFS, JIRA, etc.
- Knowledge of Azure/AWS cloud environments is preferred
Note: Candidate must be ok with 24x7 shifts.
