Job Description
We are looking for a highly experienced Technical Lead to join our team. You will be responsible for working on and innovating on top of our existing proprietary platform supporting retail groups.
- Your primary focus will be to lead the development team and deliver scalable components and features to our customer base on top of our newly developed architecture.
- You will build reusable, testable and modular code. As a communicator you will be collaborating daily within the team of developers and stakeholders on implementing elegant solutions and delivering the product backlog product development, supporting and mentoring junior team members.
Core Responsibilities
- Build efficient modules leveraging the principal of loosely coupled microservice oriented architectures.
- Build efficient, testable, and reusable services and modules.
- Develop and maintain unit tests and liaise with QA on resolving issues around performance, features and regression.
- Develop solutions aimed at resolving performance issues in order to deliver a highly scalable SaaS platform.
- Development of database stores and adopting of cache strategies (Redis, Memcache).
- Lead the technical team and provide sound solution design and implementations.
- Transfer your knowledge and experience on technology and solutions within the team.
What you should have
- 8+ years- experience
- Demonstrated experience in delivering secure, reliable, scalable and robust consumer facing web applications and services (SOA & Microservices).
- Demonstrated experience working with application cache technologies including Redis and Memcache.
- Exceptional demonstrated experience leveraging frameworks such as Laravel & Yii.
- Experience designing and developing datastore schemas and strategies to represent and support business systems and processes.
- Experience working with MongoDB, DynamoDB and Aurora.
- Strong experience working with Express and Node.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills.
- Understanding of front end technologies including Angular, Bootstrap & Vue.
