Job Description :
- Our client company is the online foray of India's most trusted names in the Reproductive Health Space. It's their e-learning venture to scale Reproductive Education globally and capitalize the Ed-Tech wave to capture the niche market. They are a well-funded organization and looking at expanding their team to meet rapidly growing business.
- For them, we are looking for the Head of Technology who will architect the entire platform (apps/ site, front end and back end) and hire/ lead a team of talented developers.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design the architecture and deliver the back end system from scratch which can hold 10,000+ concurrent users on the platform
- Design and deliver the architecture of the website and the apps (Android/ iOS) from scratch
- Work with the top management to design the technology roadmap
- Hire and groom talent and set up the team from scratch; manage the internal IT systems as well
- Launch the Android & iOS apps and the website (desktop and responsive)
- Provide milestones/deadlines by working with the top management
- Responsible for enhancing the consumer experience on site from all perspectives like UI/ UX perspective, site load time, etc.
- Manage product releases
Desired Skills and Experience :
- 8+ years of experience in building and scaling e-commerce platforms
- Hands-on experience with the entire life cycle of website and app development
- Exposure to Front end skills like HTML5, CSS3 and JavaScript
- Experience with web technologies, PHP/ Java, Python, Linux, Apache, MySQL, Solr, Memcache, Redis, javascript, ajax, etc.
- Experience with high-performance websites/ apps catering to millions of daily traffic is a plus
- Managed teams before for delivering aggressive, high demanding, feature-heavy projects
- Must have experience in working with product and UX teams
- Some experience in building internal platforms for reporting, setting up Google Analytics, etc.
- Experience in E-learning companies is a plus
