Linux Technical Lead IV - Red Hat/Solaris (8-13 yrs) (BLJ Tech Geeks)

Experience:

Essential:

- Minimum of 8 years- demonstrated experience supporting Linux OS versions, including Red Hat and Solaris.

- Minimum of 8 years- demonstrated experience Implementing and supporting core infrastructure services.(UNIX Server, UNIX Failover Clustering, PCS, HA Cluster, AD, DNS, DHCP) and well versed in; FC based shared storage, Clustering, performance monitoring and analysis, etc.

- User admin, Print admin, File system admin, Support on server services like samba, nfs, cifs, drbd,nis, nis+, sendmail etc

- Veritas Clustering (VCS), VxVM, LVM, SVM, Proxy, ftp, apache

- Forward and Reverse proxies, Squid and socks proxies, Cups printing, FTP services vsftp and proftp, FTP proxy, (Delegate), Apache administration, SSL/TLS configurations

Desirable:

- Storage Experience (EMC, HDS, HP, etc.)

- Automation/configuration management using Ansible

- Knowledge on Open Source technology like Kubernetes, dockers, Jenkins and Ansible

- A working understanding of code and script (PHP, Python, Perl and/or Ruby)

- Oracle experience

- VMware/Hyper-V and other virtualization technologies like KVM, LibVirt, and oVirt.

- Familiar with amazon Web Service (IAM policies, JSON, VPC, CloudFormation, MFA, S3, Glacier)

- Familiar with open source technologies and cloud services including OpenStack, Manage IQ / Cloud forms

Specialist Knowledge & Skills :

Essential:

- UNIX Server OS versions, including Red Hat, Ubuntu, Centos Solaris, HP-UX and some legacy UNIX products.

- DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP

- Veritas / Symantec Failover Clustering

- High Availability and Disaster Recovery
