An ideal candidate will have at least 5+ years of experience building and managing the API platform (APIGEE) on-prem, AWS cloud, CMS (Drupal), PHP, Mysql, Postgres and cloud CI-CD tools. Primary Responsibilities :
- An experienced Apigee Edge API Gateway Support Engineer to support and enhance an on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure solution.
- Willing to perform and lead the design, testing, implementation, troubleshooting and documentation of middleware infrastructure solutions.
- Capable to coordinate and lead the installation, configuration, capacity planning, problem resolution, and debugging of all environments pertaining to middleware infrastructure products.
- Able to follow and develop detailed work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, and status reports.
- In depth background to provide recommendations for hardware and system software upgrades; determine appropriate middleware infrastructure for environments based on an organization's architectural needs.
- Investigate new developments within the industry and make recommendations on additions or replacements; and oversee the installation of middleware infrastructure software and monitor the effective functioning of those systems.
- Middleware Infrastructure- products primarily include: Apigee Edge API Gateway, Drupal API Portal, App Dynamics, bitbucket, Jenkins and GITLab.
Qualifications :
- 4 years of experience implementing API Management platform on-prem and Cloud
- 4 years of experience of Linux administration
- 2 years experience in public cloud infrastructure and administration
- Good understanding of Cassandra and Zookeeper
- Working knowledge of JavaScript
- Knowledge of Systems and Networking - TCP and IP, Switching, Routing, Firewalls, Load Balancing
- Good understanding of CI/CD Tools (Jenkins, GitHub)
- Good understanding of REST API and JSON
- Experience with high availability, load balancing and failover configurations with Apigee
- Ability to apply security, throttling, OAuth 2.0, TLS, certificates, KeyStore, and Trust store for the Apigee platform
- Expertise in configuring the Apigee Private Cloud platform, including keystores, truststores, and KVMs
- Experience with Apigee Management APIs and integrations with enterprise systems including Infrastructure & Application monitoring, SAML or LDAP SSO, and Logging
- Have previously worked on an enterprise platform team that supports multiple Software Development product teams
