Asiaville is a multilingual original content network focused on Audio, Video and Text based digital native storytelling formats. It currently comprises four language verticals: Tamil, Malayalam, Hindi and English.
Asiaville's sub-brand, Outclass, is a multi-lingual learning and upskilling based venture.
We are looking for Head - Product & Technology who will handle the following responsibilities :
- Manage and own the product and tech vertical at Asiaville. This comprises the digital media operations including custom websites and app at Asiaville (www.asiaville.in) and our multi-lingual learning venture, Outclass (www.outclasstherest.com), which has its own website and app.
- Core responsibilities will include management of end to end product solutions for the digital media activity at Asiaville and education operations at Outclass, Asiaville's sub brand.
- Ability to manage the existing products and lead in creating new products and develop the project through its entire lifecycle.
- Propose, implement and support new technological solutions that improve business operations.
- Remove all technological obstacles from business operations.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless product delivery and operations.
- Create short and long term product roadmap for the company to tie in with the core business objectives.
Required:
- 6+ years of experience in product and tech roles.
- Past experience in leading teams. Working both as part of a team and individually to complete projects
- Good understanding of the following technology stack:
- Experience in Angular 4/5 & above.
- Hands on experience in Python (Django framework) is a plus.
- Knowledge in PHP, LMS (Moodle), MySQL is an added advantage.
- Good knowledge of cloud platforms like AWS & CDN.
- Hands on experience in software development on Frontend technologies (HTML, JS,CSS, J-Query).
- Must have willingness to try and implement new approaches to solving problems.
- Elastic search.
- Strong problem solving skills with great coding and architectural skills.
- Experience in Digital Media and EdTech verticals is preferred.
- Troubleshoot, test, and maintain the core product software and databases to ensure strong optimization and functionality.
- Maintain and improve existing software, architecture, and applications through Quality delivery.
