Our client is a well established, technology-focused B2B loan marketplace and holds a patented technology solution for channel partners. They set out with the objective of making the entire loan process better and transparent with the help of technology and have seen a steady growth since their launch.
The Job
- You will be reporting to and working closely with the CTO and Engineering Manager of the Company to achieve the Companys strategic objectives. Your work involves:
- Assisting the team to support and maintain all software components.
- Assisting AWS infrastructure in running the required services.
- Deploying your strong knowledge of Linux systems and server management.
- Efficiently configuring AWS Elastic Beanstalk, Cloudwatch, IAM, Route 53, Elasticache, Redis and others.
- Adopting best development practices and modern tools such as Git, VM, Vagrant, Docker etc. while ensuring good documentation practices.
- Benchmarking and optimizing performance as necessary.
- Designing infrastructure that is resilient, secured and building highly available platform, while promoting infrastructure best practices like security, release management, monitoring.
- Facilitating the building and releasing of features by the engineering team.
- Building tools and processes that increase the productivity of other engineers and ensuring an efficient release pipeline.
- Promoting and nurturing good team practices such as TDD, system security, code reviews, and pair programming.
- Bringing vision to the team in the form of new technology recommendations, ideas and approaches.
- Providing Level 3 Support and creating/integrating support infrastructure.
- Automating deployments according to best practices and providing quality codes by testing and using up to date technologies.
The Profile
- You possess a B.E/B.TECH/MCA/BCA/M.Sc in Computer Science or related field and have at least 3 years experience, ideally within a similar role.
- You possess strong knowledge of PHP and CodeIgniter along with strong hold of Javascript and experience in non-relational databases.
- Good knowledge of Cloud Databases (eg. AWS, Azure), PostgreSQL, MySQL, NOSQL Databases (eg. MongoDB, Cassandra, Elasticsearch) and Redis databases.
- You also possess solid knowledge of ORM Framework, JSON, Express JS, Sails JS.
- Solid knowledge of Node.js is a must along with hands-on experience working with PHP and codes designed in CodeIgnitor framework.
- You can smoothly integrate third party services when needed, and handle curl operations.
- You understand how the following technologies work: JWT, SSL, WebSocket.
- You can implement database solutions for new or existing features using MySQL / PostgreSQL .
- You also have expert knowledge on caching using redis or memcached.
- You possess strong analytical skills and are comfortable dealing with numerical data.
- You can assist a team of software engineers when additional help is required.
- You pay strong attention to detail and deliver work that is of a high standard.
