Role Requirements :
- Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Hold a current CISSP certification, or 1 or more advanced GIAC security certifications
- Are familiar with NIST 800-53 or other widely-accepted security control sets
- Are very familiar with secure application design principles and processes, including OWASP and SOC-2 requirements
- Have a good working knowledge of Cloud based providers and common services that are used to manage security concerns
- Are familiar with Security tools used for software development, and vulnerability detection/identification/remediation
- Have an understanding of anatomy of attacks, and common SOC defense terminology
- Are comfortable with working in Linux CENTOS (6.6,7,8) environments
- Get excited about creating and presenting materials ranging from detailed technical specifications to high-level presentations.
- Possesses the ability to translate technical security concepts into layperson's terms and to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism.
- Want to take a leadership role in the integration of various security and data protection, including designing technologies/controls into a cohesive architecture to sufficiently mitigate risk.
Requirements :
- Able to navigate in an environment with both highly technical and non-technical individuals.
- Enjoy working in the 'grey', possessing the unique ability to deal with ambiguous information/conditions/circumstances and make expert judgments in situations where no precedent exists.
- Experience with BASH, Python, PERL, and/or PHP scripting and related frameworks
- Strong sense of ownership, urgency, and drive
- Demonstrated leadership abilities in an engineering environment in driving operational excellence and best practices
- Experience with AWS Cloud development
- Experience working with remote geographically distributed teams
