Turing.com is looking for a Senior PHP Engineer on behalf of an online marketplace providing safe, quality products and content for families at every life stage. The engineer will be responsible for building highly-performant and scalable web applications, writing server-side logic, and developing components to integrate user-facing elements with the application.
The company has built a tightly curated selection from over 200 vendors including trusted, established brands and raised close to $9mn in funding so far. This is a nice opportunity as the selected candidate will join a fast-growing team of experts partnering with purpose-led companies to create a lasting impact on lives, people's health, and the environment. It is a full-time, long-term role that requires at least 4 hours of time overlap with CST.
Job Responsibilities :
- Design, build and maintain innovative PHP applications
- Collaborate with teams to create compelling user experiences
- Lead the entire web application development life cycle
- Keep abreast of new trends and best practices in web development
- Write clean, secure, maintainable, testable, and modular codes
- Design and maintain databases
- Troubleshoot and debug applications
Job Requirements :
- Bachelor's/Master's degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
- Proficient in PHP or web server exploits and their solutions
- Experience in building factories/facades/libraries using abstract classes, interfaces, and traits
- Hands-on experience in unit testing using testing frameworks like PHPUnit/phpspec
- Experience with RESTful API design
