Devops Engineer
Roles and Responsibility :
- Understand the needs and challenges of operations and development, and partner to formulate solutions that support the business and technical strategies and goals
Develop solutions encompassing technology, process and people for :
- Continuous Delivery
- Cloud strategy & operations
- Build and release management
- Basic understanding of Networking
Security
- Be totally hands-on and have the ability to work independently
- Maintain strong expertise and knowledge of current and emerging processes, techniques and tools
- Design, build and maintain the CI/CD infrastructure and tools to deliver Horizon Cloud Service
- Work closely with development teams to ensure that solutions are designed with customer user experience, scale/performance and operability in mind
Skills for trade :
Essentials :
- Strong in Linux/Unix Administration
- Continuous Development, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Testing using GIT, Jenkins and Selenium
- Experience with automation/configuration management using either CloudFormation, Kubectl, Puppet, Chef or an equivalent
- Ability to use a wide variety of open source technologies and cloud services (experience with AWS is required)
- Strong experience with SQL and MySQL
- A working understanding of code and script (PHP, Python)
- Knowledge of best practices and IT operations
Desirable : Professional AWS DevOps certification
