Key Responsibilities:
- Build new features that are fit for production releases.
- Design of the overall architecture of the web application.
- Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability.
- Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges.
- Collaborate with leads, developers, and designers to develop, debug and maintain modules in the backend system
- Learn and use core AWS technologies to design and build resilient and scalable backend web services and customer-facing APIs.
- Strong problem-solving skills, algorithmic skills, and data structures Experience in Agile methodologies like Scrum.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong understanding of PHP frameworks, such as Laravel, Symfony, CakePHP, etc.
- Knowledge of object oriented programming
- Have worked with Redis or Memcached for caching
- Experience with and extensive knowledge of REST framework
- Familiarity with PHP coding standards (PSR-4, PSR-5) is a plus
- Experience with writing backend APIs
- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git
- Independence, willingness to learn and problem solving skills are a must
- BA/BS in related field (preferred)
- At least two years of related experience
