Responsibilities
- Co-ordinate and manage data analytics activities with stakeholders
- Participate in all phases of datamining; data collection, data cleaning, developing models, validation, visualization and perform Gap analysis
- Assess data quality, identify gaps in the data and eliminate irrelevant data post gap analysis
- New dataset creation for portfolio companies from different form of raw data i.e., e-mails, PDFs, etc.
- Understand the business problems and analyze the data by using appropriate Statistical models to generate insights
- Proactively engage with new data vendors using a provided playbook as the face of Client. Also, evaluate the new data vendors on behalf of the client
- Build and analyze datasets using R, SAS, SQL, and Python
- Develop and implement predictive models using Natural Language Processing Techniques and machine learning algorithms such as linear regression, classification, multivariate regression, Naive Bayes, Random Forests, K-means clustering, KNN, PCA
- Design and develop Natural Language Processing models for sentiment analysis
- Apply clustering algorithms i.e., Hierarchical, K-means with help of Scikit and Scipy Python modules
- Develop visualizations and dashboards using ggplot, Tableau.
Skillsets :
A. Technical Skills:
- Programming Languages: Must possess 6-8 years working experience in R, SAS, SQL, Python. Knowledge in C++, Java, MATLAB, and PHP is an added advantage
- Platform: 3-4 years working experience in AWS, Databricks, Tableau, Airflow, MongoDB
- Data Management and Manipulation: Builds queries to extract the desired data, analyzes the data and creates accurate reports. Some standard tools for doing the same are SAS, Oracle Visual Analyzer, Microsoft Power BI, Cognos, Tableau, and more.
B. Practical Skills:
- Strong Mathematical Ability: Knowledge of statistics and the right comfort level with formulae / tables / charts / graphs required for analyzing data to provide real-world value
- High degree of expertise in using excel - Strong Domain Knowledge: Able to understand the specific user requirements, along with having a deep understanding of the data.
C. Soft Skills:
- Excellent Communication Skills is required to collaborate with the various stakeholders, including executives, IT specialists, to ensure that the data aligns well with the business objectives. Must be business savvy in dealing with salespeople / data providers
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Engineering, data analysis course/certification, degree in mathematics, statistics, or economics from a wellreputed University
- 6-8 years- experience in the field of Data analysis in investment research domain
