We are looking for a go-getter and ambitious Tech Lead to join our team. The person will be responsible for the entire tech stack, putting together technical solutions & taking ownership of the tech platform/product. Working directly and solely with the client team.
The client is a London-based startup with a vision to make work happier, fairer, more diverse and more productive. They are a new team, building a brand-new product but are operating within a well-functioning established company having a client base in 100+ countries.
This role is also open for Senior Developers looking to take the next step into a team lead role, who feel can work in a fast pace and growing environment.
What you will do
- Design and implement innovative and robust technical solutions.
- Work with our development team to implement any requirements.
- Liaise with colleagues to help solve challenging technical problems.
- Ensure ongoing quality of delivered work through code reviews for security and performance.
- Help maintain best practices and set standards for modern web development.
- Guide and mentor less-experienced developers.
- Provide ideas for improvement to keep pace with new innovations and technologies.
- Look at ways to continually improve our technical processes.
Skills :
- 8+ years of experience with a passion for writing great modular code.
- Past experience developing and deploying full scale international web applications.
- Diverse background working with all of the technologies in LAMP stack.
- Experience with other modern PHP frameworks (e.g. Laravel, Symfony etc).
- Experience in frontend technologies such as HTML/CSS, Angular or React or Vue
- Excellent knowledge of Git version control and bitbucket code management processes
- Experience with Cloud Service (AWS) and optimizing performance.
- Experience of putting together technical estimates and finding cost effective solutions
- Experience in other databases like MongoDB, SQLite etc
- Experience consuming RESTful APIs in production.
- Exposure to the development of mobile applications like Ionic, Flutter
- Passion to write readable and scalable code.
- Meticulous with high attention to detail.
- A calculated approach to development, documentation, and code structure.
- A good communicator to translate technical solutions to varied audiences.
- Organised to manage tasks and time efficiently
