We are looking for self-motivated Symfony/PHP Developers to join our team and help deliver high-quality and impactful features to secure web applications. Your work will directly be stopping millions of cyber attacks on thousands of our customers.
You will be working on our security suite, Astra, to build and maintain security software which runs on 1000's of client websites. The job profile involves building scalable applications in Symfony and fine tuning our CMS (WordPress/Magento etc.) plugins. You- ll be working closely with our CTO.
Job Duties -
1. Work in an agile environment of engineers to architect, design, develop and build our server-side infrastructure for our web security product, Astra
2. You will research, design and code, troubleshoot and support. What you create is also what you own
3. Writing secure, high quality, modular, testable & well documented code for features outlined in every sprint
4. Design and implement APIs in support of front-end services with a highly scalable, flexible, and secure backend using the LAMP stack.
5. Hands on experience and ready to work on Post-production, bug fixes, support.
6. Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
7. Driving strict code review standards among the team
8. Ensuring timely delivery of the features/products
9. Working with product managers to ensure product delivery status is transparent & the end product always looks like how it was imagined
10. Work closely with Security & Malware teams in writing APIs, modules.
11. Responsible for technical hiring, training, reviewing
12. On-call
Basic Qualifications
1. A strong analytical and aspiring mind
2. 2-6 year PHP and MySQL/Postgresql development experience
3. Experience with PHP frameworks such as Symfony 4 (API Platform), or Laravel
4. Experience of modern web development technologies and techniques, including HTML5, CSS 3.0 & JavaScript Libraries/Frameworks (JQuery, Bootstrap.js, React.js, Next.js etc.)
5. Demonstrated passion for user experience design and improving usability
6. Strong sense of ownership and drive
7. Sharp problem solving skills and ability to resolve ambiguous requirements
8. Experience in web application development in MVC architecture
9. Test Driven Development
10. REST APIs
11. Git
12. Software Architecture and Patterns
Skills we are looking for:
1. Should have at-least 2-5 years experience in building backend / web applications (any scripting language / framework)
2. Experience of using any PHP framework like Symfony, Laravel, CodeIgniter, Slim etc.
3. Strong HTML; Proficient in JavaScript & CSS
4. Experience in working with remote teams
5. The number of years may not matter if you show promising skills
Nice to have (optional):
1.Experience with ReactJS, Next.JS is a huge plus
2. Understanding of Web Security Concepts
3. Experience with Symfony PHP framework
4. Built plugins for WordPress/OpenCart/Magento
5. AWS
6. DevOps
