RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Create, modify, and deploy responsively designed code for HTML, CSS, JS, and jQuery on our shopping cart.
- QA by creating and running unit tests and experience creative automated testing in the Magento Functional Test Framework
- Be involved in the web design and wire-framing process to help ensure a speedy and problem-free development cycle.
- Help implement a scalable and iterative development process to ensure we maintain the integrity of our websites code with the ability to roll back if needed.
- Work closely with our on-site back-end development team as well as third party development partner to achieve any development tasks assigned to you.
- Ensure best practices are implemented with focus on SEO and site speed.
- Perform defect resolution and support software enhancements as required.
QUALIFICATIONS :
- 5 years advanced understanding of standard front-end development technologies: HTML, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery, JSON, AJAX, XML, SOAP, WSDL
- 2+ years experience with Magento front-end
- Experience in deploying and managing Magento extensions (Amasty, search, fraud, checkout, etc.- )
- Strong understanding of MySQL and/or MS-SQL
- Excellent grasp of database design and normalization rules
- Experience extending or customizing existing products/frameworks within Magento
- Strong debugging skills with the ability to reach out and work with internal and external stakeholders to solve complex problems
- Problem-solving and time management skills
- Ability to work in both an individual and team-based environment
- Excellent written verbal and interpersonal skills
- Magento's certification a plus
- Experience with technical project management
- Other duties assigned as business need required
