About The Role :
A Senior PHP developer is responsible for developing scalable software systems, as well as working within a collaborative, outcomes-focused team. You will build products and services that power Appointment Core's scheduling product.
What You'll Do:
- You'll improve the performance and reliability of our backend and infrastructure.
- You'll be responsible for maintaining a high-quality bar for everything you ship
- You'll collaborate closely with peers from other functions of the business on our overall product roadmap, on product launches, and on ongoing operations
What We're Looking For :
- You have a record of shipping high-quality products
- You have experience scaling production software to support growth
- You have a sufficiently deep background in product and technology that you can ask the right questions in a team, balance product, tech, and people concerns, and make hard tradeoffs
- You have a high tolerance for ambiguity and change, especially around organizational structure and the boundaries of your role. You enjoy jumping into whatever areas need attention and learning as-you-go
- You value empathetic and direct communication, particularly when giving and receiving feedback Required
Technical:
- You have delivered high-quality PHP projects
- You are expert level PHP with PHP 5 thru 7
- You are proficient with debugging and profiling using XDebug
- You know how to use Git and work together with team members using Git repository
- You have experience working on teams that use the agile with scrum methodology Bonus
Points:
- You have a sufficiently deep understanding of the Yii 1.0 and 2.0 frameworks
- You have experience using PHPStorm
- You have DevOps experience on Rackspace
- You are experienced with developing CI/CD into existing software systems
- You have experience with various cloud services, such as:
- Amazon Web Services
- Google Cloud Provider
- Rackspace
