The Job:
In this role, you will lead a team to deliver secure, stable, scalable and cost-effective solutions to facilitate storage, integration, usage, access, and delivery of data assets across the business.
You will be responsible for:
- Communicating and supporting the use of the data architecture to all stakeholders.
- Development of data architecture, strategy and governance.
- Defining, developing and maintaining reports to support decision making.
- Processing & Interpreting data to get actionable insights.
- Working closely with business users to understand their data analysis needs/requirements.
- Contributing to and driving continuous process improvement initiatives to meet business needs.
- Establishing project plans, resources, budgets and time-frames, and assigning tasks.
- Gathering, analysing, defining and formalising business requirements and processes into project / system specifications.
- Identifying, tracking and communicating progress, milestones, deliverables, risks and issues.
- Managing the team's performance of project tasks and providing technical advice and guidance.
- Managing vendor relationship and deliverables.
- Preparing project feasibility studies, cost-benefit analysis and proposals and obtain required approvals from IT management and project sponsors.
The Profile:
- You possess a degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, Engineering or related field.
- You have at least 1 year experience, ideally within a Business Analyst- Data Sciences, Data Architect or Data Analyst role.
- You have at least - 1 year of PHP development experience.
- You must be proficient in PHP (CodeIgniter, Zend, CakePHP, etc.), MySQL, CSS3, HTML5, JavaScript, AJAX, XML.
- You have the ability to conceive the data picture from an organisational perspective, and bridge gap between current state and future goals.
- You have strong coding experience & excellent knowledge of WAMP.
- You have exposure/expertise in one or more of emerging tools like columnar and NoSQL databases, predictive analytics, data visualization, and unstructured data.
- You have a strong expertise in data modelling & database design.
- You have strong interpersonal and communication skills and are adept at working with multiple stakeholders to drive desired outcomes.
- You have good presentation and communication skills and the ability to present you findings clearly and accessibly in the form of reports and presentations to senior colleagues.
- Expertise in Cloud Computing, Big Data, BI Reporting & Tools and Artificial Intelligence (Neural Networks, Fuzzy Logic, Evolutionary Algorithms) would be highly valuable.
