Summary:
We are looking for a strong, well-rounded Senior Full Stack Developer to help extend and customize a large-scale open source assessment platform solution. You will ensure that that high-quality assessments are in a stable, secure, optimized, scalable and modern open source platform
Roles and Responsibilities :
- As a Senior Full Stack developer, you will be responsible both for frontend and backend development of portable interactive components in our open source assessment platform and custom features using JavaScript, HTML and CSS.
- You will be developing modern responsive designs including cross browser compatibility, accessibility, and enhanced user experience.
- At the backend, you will be working with the latest technologies : PHP7, Golang, AWS, GCP, Kafka,
- Kubernetes, Docker, Symfony. Your primary responsibility will be extending, enhancing, designing and developing our large-scale open source assessment platform.
- Serve as the development lead and architect for our production system
- Design and develop new features in existing open source systems to meet our evolving business needs
- Be a domain expert for our open source education assessment platform
- Provide technical direction and support to our cross functional teams
Required Skills :
- Minimum of 7 years of progressively increasing full stack development experience with scalable web applications and modern backend technologies.
- Strong experience in PHP7, SQL, and NoSQL databases
- Excellent knowledge of HTML, CSS, and Javascript
- Good knowledge of CI/CD and Git
- Strong experience in one of the frameworks such as Laravel, Symfony and Slim
- Development experience in AWS/GCP/Azure cloud technologies
- Experience contributing to open-source projects
- Strong interpersonal skills to work with senior colleagues, subcontractors, and customers.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Proven work experience in large scale complex software applications development
- Experience working with Docker and containerization technology
- Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native, container orchestration
- Thorough understanding of architectural and implementation principles for the web app and services development
- Familiar with writing automated unit & functional tests following TDD & BDD methodologies
- Experience developing resource-oriented, RESTful APIs with JSON based Web APIs
- Development experience in XML and/or JSON based data, including matching and searching such data, is highly desirable.
- Experience with administration of LAMP environments is a big plus.
- Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban) and iterative & incremental design
- Experience with project management tools like JIRA & Confluence
- Experience in the education industry, a plus.
