Job Profile
The concern person at Orion will be responsible to carry out manual execution, automation development and execution of the product and planning software. He / She must be experienced with s / w testing activities relating to test planning, automation development, and tests execution for telecom products
Responsibilities
S / W Test engineer is responsible for the execution of the product verification (PV) phase for the project, related applications in a multi - site R&D environment.
Responsibilities and Skills Required:
- Expertise knowledge on programming languages such as Python is must
- Skilled in defining quality standards and metrics for the projects/products.
- Expertise in defining processes for test plan and several phases of the testing cycle.
- Excellent leadership qualities.
- Experienced to manage the team and making sure delivery, schedule, status reporting, defining risks contingencies and plans are properly communicated with the client team.
- Expertise in Functional Testing, Automation Testing and Test Methodologies such as Software
- Development Lifecycle(SDLC), Waterfall, Agile and Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC).
- In-depth knowledge of Project/Test Management tools such as JIRA, HP ALM, Rally Test Management, Microsoft Test Management (TFS).
- Experienced with documentation of Test deliverables such as Test Plans, Test Strategies, Test Cases,
- Requirement Traceability Matrix, Test Execution Reports and Defect Reports.
- Experienced in Understanding and defining areas to calculate the overall risk to the project and creating strategies to mitigate risks.
- Skilled in Process Improvement and Team Motivation.
- Worked in an Agile development environment with experience testing either In - scrum or customer vertical use cases, executing cross functional workflows using API micro services
Experience in performing Manual and Automation Software testing for web applications, web sites, web portals, client server applications and mobile Apps.
- Hands on experience in Integration, system, smoke, build verification, sanity and user acceptance testing.
- Should have mandatory experience in Selenium.
- Experience in full testing life cycle from requirement gathering/analysis, test design, execution and reporting.
- Exposure in various OS (windows 7,8,10, Windows Server 2008, Linux)
- Experience in various platforms like .Net, Java, PHP, Windows, and Unix/Linux based applications.
- Experience in test design that includes test plans, test cases, test scripts, regression suits and test reports.
- Experience with testing tools such as Selenium, JMeter and similar.
- Hands on experience in UI testing, database testing, functional testing.
- Experience in non-functional testing like stress, load (performance) and usability.
- Experience in compatibility testing that includes various platforms and browsers.
- Experience in test automation frameworks and various testing tools like Selenium with c#, Test Complete, Win Runner, and Load runner, QTP etc.
- Good trouble shooting and Problem solving skills.
- Take ownership and sign off performance deliverables when the system has met the defined
- Good communication skills.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies
- Knowledge of general software Product Verification process and methodologies
