ROLE AND CONTEXT NEED TO DO NEED TO KNOW
Purpose:
1. Replacement resource for L2 Server Engg - Linux
Main Priorities:
2. Should handle Linux as well as Windows servers.
3. Should come in shifts 24x7 - 6 days a week
4. Maintain SLA and reporting
5. Manage server assets
Key Outputs:
Setup server Infra, hardening of servers and OS layer security infra of SDC. Manage client requirements and provide Infra solutions to state departments hosting at SDC
Relationships:
ELCOT, CT & Project Manager
Direct Reportees: None
Key Performance Indicators:
Maintain SLA as per RFP
Region / State to Handled:
TNSDC-II Data centre
Qualifications:
BE / B.Tech / MCA
RHCE or Equivalent
Skills/ Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge in Linux, Apache, PHP & MysQL
- Good knowledge in server security and OSA layers
- Good knowledge in Opensource tools like NMS, JBOSS, Apache, Tomcat etc.
- Scripting knowledge will be added advantage.
- Good knowledge in Hardware and ability to do first level troubleshooting
- Co-ordinate with Govt departments and maintain Dept assets.
- Coordinate with other stake holders like the network, security and developers in maintaining the services.
- Responsible for maintaining critical infra / application related files backup.
Experience:
- 5+ Yrs experience in handling client server Infra and SLA driven projects
