Technical Lead :
- The Technical Lead will be responsible for leading the execution of technology-focused projects of significant complexity from conception through delivery, including successful project definition, planning, budgeting, time estimating and scheduling, project staff planning and resource levelling, organizing, leading high performance project teams, and delivery of projects.
- The Technical Lead will be involved in managing all factors that govern project success to ensure high-quality delivery within time, cost, and quality parameters. Project duties will involve Influencing stakeholders and resource managers to follow standard project management practices and achieve project goals. This person MUST be hands on in understanding project requirements, implementation methodologies and processes. Coaching of Software Engineers will also be part of the role. Analytical, detailed oriented and a strong but diplomatic personality will be best suited for this role.
Job Description:
- Determining project requirements and developing work schedules for the team.
- Delegating tasks and achieving daily, weekly, and monthly goals.
- Liaising with team members, management, and clients to ensure projects are completed to standard.
- Translate requirements from concept through coding and programming.
- Identifying risks and forming contingency plans as soon as possible.
- Analysing existing operations and scheduling training sessions and meetings to discuss improvements.
- Keeping up to date with industry trends and developments.
- Reviewing, documenting, analysing, and evaluating existing applications/programs to understand specific system requirement and end user need. Design the object model of each of the major business objects, including the hierarchy, dimension, and business perspective.
- Updating work schedules and performing troubleshooting as required.
- Motivating staff and creating a space where they can ask questions and voice their concerns.
- Being transparent with the team about challenges, failures, and successes.
- Writing progress reports and delivering presentations to the relevant stakeholders.
- Excellent technical, diagnostic, and troubleshooting skills.
