The Fun Responsibilities :
- New product and feature planning: Conceive new products and features on our website/ app. Develop technical requirements based on inputs from content, design and social media team, help them decide what technologies to use.
- Convert Ideas into reality - product design: Develop engaging and easy to use products ground up, APIs development and integration (E.g. payment systems, 3rd party APIs, etc.). Suggest improvements in design, functionality, performance and architecture.
- Design and maintain overall architecture of our assets: front end/ client side, back-end/ server side and databases.
- Make our digital assets responsive on various platforms - work with social media teams to make the assets search engine optimised (SEO), mobile-responsive, etc.
- Regular Testing and maintenance so that product remains robust: Debugging or other coding issues; Troubleshooting and upgrading software; version control, improving and making design changes as per customer feedback and team feedback
- Safeguarding our digital assets: Implement cutting edge security and data protection technologies across our website and apps - so as to prevent any malicious activity.
- Stay current: Staying abreast of developments in apps/ web languages and technologies, about new types of risks, how we can stay on top of them. New ways of making product more simple, modular and beautiful

Essential Skills :
- Ability to clearly communicate technical issues to laymen and to translate their feedback
- Front-end languages esp. HTML5/ CSS3, JavaScript, XML, jQuery
- Back-end languages (e.g. C#, Java, PHP, Python) and JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Node.js)
- Proficient in handling databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB), web servers (e.g. Apache)
- Knowledge of best practices in web design (UI/UX design), prototypes, scalability, user experience
- Familiarity with common stacks
- Proficient in working with APIs (3rd party APIs also like payment)
- Strong ability with WordPress regards architecture, coding, databases, themes, plugins, etc. - how to optimize and integrate them (bonus points if knows how to develop plugins)
- Proficient in SEO best practices esp. off-page and technical SEO
- Proficient with code versioning tools (such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial)
- Comfortable working with debugging tools like Firebug, Chrome inspector, etc.
- Proficient security and data protection best practices
- Excellent Organisation and multi-tasking skills
Preferred Skills (Not mandatory) : Knowledge of how to set up and manage a Learning Management System (LMS)
The Qualification :
- 2-4 years full stack web and/ or app development experience (Bonus points for experience with an ed-tech company)
- B.Tech (Computers or IT or ECE)/ BCA/ MCA or/ and Certificate/ Degree in programming/ web development
